Battley
Battely is owned by Dr
Russell Bourne, he is also the winemaker and viticulturist.
Located on the site of the old Brown Brothers Everton Hills
vineyard, this superbly sited and well drained granite based
vineyard was planted in 1998 to Syrah, Durif, Marsanne and a
little Viognier. The vineyard is slightly lower in altitude
than its neighbor Giaconda, and as a result the site is a
little warmer and ripens before some other Beechworth
producers.
